1. EMITINO TABLET/SYRUP AND INJECTION

Ondansetron.
 
Forms: Injection:2mg/ml, Tablets: 4mg, 8mg, 24mg

Available in a different form :

Tablets:4 mg tablet

Oral solution:4mg/5ml

Injectable solution:2mg/ml

Indications:

Nausea and Vomiting induced by chemotherapy, gastroenteritis, Radiation therapy, Postoperative, Pregnancy

Contraindications:

Patients are known to have hypersensitivity(Allergy) to this medication.

May cause cleft lip and cleft palate during the first-trimester of pregnancy.

Dosage/How to use: 

Tablets:

Adults:4-8mg (1-2 tablets) twice a day 

Injection:

<6 months: Safety and efficacy not established.

>6 months: 0.1-0.15mg/kg IV over 15 min

Adults:12mg(3 ampoules) IV daily for 4 days

Oral solution:

Children 8-15kg: 5ml once daily 

Children 15-30kg:10ml once daily

Children>30kgs: 20ml once daily

Note: Routine use is not recommended by CDC

2. VOGALENE  SUPPO/SYRUP AND INJECTION

Metopimazine. 

Available in a different form :

Intrarectal(Suppo):5 mg tablet

Oral solution:5mg/5ml

Injectable solution:10mg/ml

Indications:

Nausea and Vomiting induced by chemotherapy, gastroenteritis, Radiation therapy, Postoperative, Pregnancy

Contraindications:

Patients are known to have hypersensitivity(Allergy) to this medication

Dosage/How to use: 

Tablets:

Adults and adolescents above 12 years: 1-2 tablets three times a day.

Children >15kg: 1/2-1 tablet  1 to 3 times daily.

Children 7.5-15kg: 1/2 tablet three times a day.

Injection:

Adults:12mg(3 ampoules) daily for 4 days

Oral solution:

Adults & Adolescents>12years: 5-10ml three times a day.

Children >15kg: 2.5-5ml 1 to 3 times a day.

Children 7.5-15kg: 2.5 ml three times a day.

3. PRIMPERAN 

Metoclopramide hydrochloride anhydrous 

Available in a different form :

Intrarectal(Suppo):10 mg tablet

Oral solution:5mg/5ml

Indications:

Nausea and Vomiting induced by chemotherapy, gastroenteritis, Radiation therapy, Postoperative, Pregnancy

Contraindications:

Patients are known to have hypersensitivity(Allergy) to this medication

Dosage/How to use:

Tablets:

Adults and adolescents above 12 years: thrice daily 1-2 tablets suppository.

Children >15kg: 1/2-1 tablet suppository 1 to 3 times a day.

Children 7.5-15kg: 1/2 tablet suppository three times a day.

Oral solution:

Adults & Adolescents>12years: 5-10ml three times a day.

Children >15kg: 2.5-5ml 1 to 3 times a day.

Children 7.5-15kg: 2.5 ml three times a day.

4. MOTILIUM 

Domperidone

Available in a different form :

Intrarectal(Suppo):10 mg tablet

Oral solution: 200ml

Indications:

Nausea and Vomiting induced by chemotherapy, gastroenteritis, Radiation therapy, Postoperative, Pregnancy

Contraindications:

Patients are known to have hypersensitivity(Allergy) to this medication

Dosage/How to use:

Tablets:

Adults and adolescents above 12 years: 1-2 tablets three times a day.

Children <12 years: Not recommended.

Oral solution:

Adults & Adolescents>12years: 5-10ml three times a day.

Children <12 years: Not recommended.

5. VOMI-6

Doxylamine ( an antihistamine) and Pyridoxine (Vitamin B 6).
Form: Tablets

Indications:

Used to prevent or reduce nausea and vomiting caused by pregnancy and thus improve nutrition.

Contraindications:

Vomi-6 is not recommended in known asthmatic patients.

Note contraindicated in first-trimester pregnancy

Dosage/How to use:

Adults: 2 tablets taken at bedtime.

Children: Safety and efficacy not established.
