Ascoril LS syrup is used to treat coughs with mucus 

Contraindications:

  • Mucolytic and Expectorant.Treatment of productive cough in children.
  • Indicated in children over 2 years.
  • Used in cases of bronchial obstruction or acute 
Contraindications:

100mg/5ml.

 Children from 2 to 5 years: 200 mg per day divided into 2 doses. 
Children over 5 years: 300 mg per day divided into 3 doses.

12. PAIDOTERIN SYRUP

A combination of dephenylhydramine + Phenylephrin + Chlorphenylamine

Indication:

Used as a decongestant

Contraindication:

Not contraindicated in preganancy 
Contraindicated in a nursing women 
Children under 2 years

Dosage:

Children of 2-6 years: 5 ml every 6 or 8 hours
Children of 6-12 years: 10-15 ml evry 6 or 8 hours
Adults: 15-20ml every 6 or 8 hours

13. BENYLIN SYRUP

A combination of Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15mg + Sodium Benzoate 0,5 % m/v

Indication:

Used for dry cough

Contraindication:

Hypersensitivity to dextromethorphan or to any of the ingredients.
Patients with asthma and hepatic dysfunction. 
Children under 5 years of age. 
Safety in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.

Dosage:

Children < 5years: not recommended
Children of 5-12 years: 2.5-5 ml evry 6 or 8 hours
Adults: 5ml every 4 hours

13. KOFLYN SYRUP

Each 5ml contains Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2.2mg, Ammonium Chloride 110mg and Sodium Citrate 40mg

Dosage:

0 – 1 year: 2.5mls every 6 hours
1 – 5 years: 5mls every 6 hours 
5 – 12 years: 7.5mls every 6 hours 
Adults: 10mls every 6 hours
